Disneyland Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge Opens To All: What To Know
June 24, the famed world of Batuu at Disneyland Resort has opened to the general public. Here's what you should know when you go.
ANAHEIM, CA — It's summer at Disneyland Resort, and the new land Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, invites all to take the controls of the Millennium Falcon, enjoy galactic food and beverages and explore the Black Spire Outpost starting Monday, June 24.
Guests of the resort now have access to innovative digital planning tools to help them make the most of their visits, resulting in more time to enjoy the Disneyland Resort. In order to regulate crowd control for the enjoyment of all, entry to the land will take place using "boarding groups" - or a virtual queuing system, which is subject to capacity limits, a resort spokesperson has said.
Patch has thoroughly explored the land and can attest that the 4 hour limit to touring the land is more than enough to enjoy all that it has to offer.

In order to make the most of the land, much of which is filled with "Easter Eggs," Patch recommends downloading the Disneyland App, and the corresponding Disney Play App.

Boarding Groups
- The virtual queuing system will help provide smooth access to the land. Use the app to register for your "boarding group" and save your virtual spot in line. Consider it a "fast pass," for your time of entry into the land.**
- The pass enables groups to request the same boarding group for the entire party. Note: if you want to ride Smuggler's Run, as many as 6 can ride -- and teamwork is encouraged!
- The app and digital signage will inform when your entry time is open the park. Guests may also enable push notifications on their mobile devices to get a notification of when it’s time to enter the land.
- No need to line up! you'll be given a "two hour window" to enter the land after your boarding group is called for admission.
- Don't have the app? Visit a traditional Disney FastPass service location at:
- Haunted Mansion
- Indiana Jones Adventure
- Space Mountain
- Splash Mountain
- Near the Matterhorn Bobsleds
- For a step-by-step guide on how to request a boarding group on the Disneyland app, guests may view a video on the Disney Parks YouTube channel. Information will also be available at Disneyland.com.
Reservations for Savi’s Workshop and Oga’s Cantina
- Reservations will be required for Savi’s Workshop and Oga’s Cantina, which have very limited capacities.
- Book a reservation for these experiences on your day of their visit, beginning at 7 a.m., with a valid credit card.
- Reservations for both experiences will allow access into Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at the time of the reservation, so it will not be necessary to join a boarding group, if applicable, to enter the land to participate in a reserved experience.
- Additional important details are available at Disneyland.com/SavisWorkshop and Disneyland.com/Cantina.
Join The Resistance or the Order...Play Disney Parks Mobile App
- Guests are encouraged to download the Play Disney Parks mobile app in advance of their visit to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge
- Guests who choose to engage through the app will be able to interact with droids, translate Aurebesh, scan cargo crates and other containers to collect virtual items, and more. But be careful, Kylo Ren and his minions may question your allegiance.
- Additionally, guests who are in the queue at Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run may engage with the in-queue game while using the app to help make wait time fun, interactive and enjoyable.
