Fire Caused By BBQ Erupts In South OC Home: OCFA
The fire ignited early Sunday morning in Ladera Ranch in the yard of a residential home, the Orange County Fire Authority said.

LADERA RANCH, CA — An Orange County home was saved after a fire ignited in the home's yard and spread to the garage, the Orange County Fire Authority reported.
Firefighters were dispatched to the Ladera Ranch home early Sunday morning in response to a fire that had started outside of the home.
Upon arriving, firefighters found the fire had spread to the garage, authorities said.

"Fortunately, the home was equipped with an automatic sprinkler system that kept the fire in check," an OCFA statement read. "Engine 56 and additional crews ensured everyone was evacuated while they confirmed there was no further spread."
Firefighters doused the flames shortly after arriving and no injuries were reported.

According to the OCFA, the fire was caused by hot ash on an outdoor barbecue.
"Ash from a barbecue the day before remained hot enough to ignite combustibles and cause the fire," the statement read.
