Foothill Ranch Walmart Supports OCSD's Six Point For Kids Charity
OCSD's deputy driven 6 Points For Kids charity was supported through a generous donation from Walmart.

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA β This weekend Six Points For Kids deputies receiving a donation of $1,000 from the Walmart in Foothill Ranch during their grand re-opening according to the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
The Six Points For Kids is OCSD's deputy driven program initially conceived by front-line deputies to give back to local children and teens in the community. Each point on the Orange County Sheriff's Department star represents a focus area of the foundation.

The OCSD holds fundraising events throughout the year to enlist community support in programs that helps provide area children with everything from backpacks filled with school supplies to special events.

Undersheriff Don Barnes and deputies with the Six Points For Kids program delivered 35 backpacks filled with school supplies to Laura's House, a local domestic violence shelter for women and families in early August.

In 2017, special projects have included the Special Olympics, the Blind Children's Learning Center Pre-Kindergarten Graduation and stuffed backpacks to 35 young students in need.

With the donation form the Walmart of Foothill Ranch, they will be able to do even more, according to OCSD.
"These funds will go to various local charities we partner with and fundraising events to make an immediate, identifiable, positive impression in the lives of needy children in our community," the OCSD said. "Thank you, Walmart Foothill Ranch for your generous donation."
