The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Orange County dropped today for the 19th consecutive day decreasing 2.2 cents to $3.746..
It is 12.7 cents less than one week ago, 7.9 cents lower than one month ago and 39.7 cents below what it was one year ago.
The Orange County average price has dropped 25.7 cents over the past 19 days, including 2.3 cents on Wednesday. It rose 18.7 cents during a 10-day streak of increases that immediately preceded the current run of dropping prices.

The decreasing prices are the result of improved supply, according to Jeffrey Spring, the Automobile Club of Southern California’s corporate communications manager.
