Help Laura's House -- Sip and Taste at Hanna's in Rancho Santa Margarita

Rancho Santa Margarita, CA--Hanna's Restaurant is the location for the next Laura's House fundraiser, right here in Rancho Santa Margarita.

Summer Sips & Tastes, at the Hanna's Restaurant and Bar DaVino Wine Room, will offer both the Hanna's Prime Steak, wine and education on how Laura's House helps prevent domestic abuse across Orange County.

"Proceeds benefit domestic violence related programs and services that we provide to the community," Laura's House's Melanie Galloway said.

Laura's House, which was just named one of the best businesses to work for in Orange County, was inspired by a true story about an Orange County resident. Laura was a victim of domestic violence, and died at 38-years-old.

"In 1991, a few local women formed the South Orange County Domestic Violence Action Committee and dreamed of building a shelter for battered women," the Laura's House website said. "In 1994, local residents, including Sandy Condello and Helen Kendall, asked the community to embrace their vision for Laura's house.

Fundraisers like the Summer Sips & Tastes help make programs possible.

Seats to the July 11 event are limited, at $50 each, or $100 per couple. Doors open at 5 p.m.
