‘Only the Dead Go Free’ is a haunting and bloody tale of Wendy – a down-trodden addict and mother fleeing her abusive boyfriend to her families’ cabin in the woods. Troubles only just begin when she and her teenage daughter Fiona realize something even worse already resides there. Set in a 1970s fictional Central California mountain town, ‘Only the Dead Go Free’ delves into the worlds of addiction and abuse, and the ghostly regrets they leave behind. It is a considerable departure from his previous story, ‘The Last Ride,’ which is a retelling of his boyhood in Huntington Beach, as told by his beloved dog.
A Haunting of Words is available for Kindle now via Scout Media, and will be available in ebook, paperback, and audiobook formats via all major online retailers on June 1, 2017.
