Nothing to Sneeze At, Marque Urgent Care Opens 'Early'
Medical facility cuts the ribbon on its 5,000-foot facility, but finds itself open for business ahead of schedule.

Wednesday marked the day that Marque Urgent Care cut the red ribbon welcoming it to the city, the day that city officials delivered speeches and everyone ate catered food.
But before all the glad-handing and smiles, a funny thing happened.
"A woman walked in," said Dr. Nathan Kiskila. "I wasn't expecting to see anyone, but this lady walked in with a sinus infection. So I took her to a room and said, 'By the way, you're our first patient.' "

By the afternoon, the dignitaries, the press and the well-wishers had arrived to watch Kiskila and business partner Pierre Bergougnan—a 1995 graduate of Santa Margarita Catholic—cut the ribbon on the 5,000 square foot facility, which has 12 medical rooms, including a digital X-ray setup, and three offices. There's a European styling to the office, and Kiskila said it was equipped to basically handle anything that doesn't require an ambulance.
Employing 30 people, this is the second Marque facility owned by Kiskila and Bergougnan. The other Marque is in Newport Beach, but there are plans to open two more in Orange County.
