With voluntary compliance, tickets won't be issued if you ignore these signs, however, the city asks for drivers to help keep streets clean.

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA β€” Observe those no parking signs in Rancho Santa Margarita.

The City of Rancho Santa Margarita will be performing targeted street cleaning at seven locations that have been identified as needing special attention due to heavy parking. In these areas, the parking is such that street sweepers rarely reach the curb.

"As we have a voluntary compliance street sweeping program and do not issue citations or tow encroaching vehicles, the most common complaint received from residents concerning street sweeping is that the street is not clean enough because the sweeper had to maneuver around parked cars," the city of Rancho Santa Margarita said.
