RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA — The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Orange County increased one-tenth of a cent Tuesday to $3.062 according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
It is nine-tenths of a cent more than one week ago, 4.5 cents higher than one month ago and 24.9 cents more than one year ago.
In Rancho Santa Margarita, good luck finding gas for under $3 per gallon. You'll need to head to Lake Forest's Grab-n-Go, to Laguna Niguel's Costco or the ARCO stations in Ladera Ranch, Lake Forest or Mission Viejo.

Los Angeles County, gas prices remained unchanged Tuesday at $3.075.
The average price had increased 16 of the previous 17 days, and is now 1.2 cents higher than one week ago, 4.6 cents higher than one month ago and 23.8 cents more than one year ago.
