Police Blotter: Zippers Drop In Rancho Santa Margarita
A man masturbates in the parking lot at Target, and a group of men loiter at the end of the street before marking their territory.

A caller saw a man expose himself while sitting in his blue Honda Civic that was parked to the right of the handicapped spaces in the Target parking lot in Rancho Santa Margarita on Friday afternoon.
According to the caller, the man was masturbating in the front seat of the vehicle.
Deputies arrived and arrested the 32-year-old man, who was released after posting bond from the Intake Release Center.

The call came in around 2 p.m. on Friday, from the 30600 block of Santa Margarita Parkway.

A caller complained about two groups of men who were disturbing the peace at the end of his Rancho Santa Margarita street late Saturday afternoon. The men, who got out of two vehicles, a silver Mini Cooper and a burgundy pickup truck, loitered for a while before a few of them began urinating in the bushes in front of one of the homes.
The call came in around 5:45 p.m. on Saturday, from Camino Altozano and Avenida de las Banderas.
Man posing as Sprint employee tries to use school line to track calls
The principal of Wagon Wheel Elementary school in Trabuco Canyon said a suspicious looking man walked into her office Monday afternoon claiming to be an employee of Sprint.
The man demanded to use the school’s landline to track calls, and became angry and left when the principal refused.
The call came in around 3:15 p.m. on Monday, from the 30900 block of Bridle Path Road.
The following is a summary report of calls from Rancho Santa Margarita, Coto de Caza, Trabuco Canyon and Las Flores to the Orange County Sheriff's Department from September 9 to September 12.
Disturbance 8:12 p.m. Monday, 23300 block of Via Venado. A caller from the Coto Valley Country Club said a man, who lived at a nearby residence on Alondra, was shouting obscenities at guests at the tennis courts.
Suspicious Person/Circumstances 3:16 p.m. Monday, 30400 block of Hamilton Trail. A man said his neighbor had several large cannabis plants growing in the backyard, which could be seen by the caller. Deputies flew over the neighbor’s yard with a helicopter, and confirmed that there were 25 marijuana plants at the location. Deputies logged this item in an informational report.
Traffic Stop 3:14 p.m. Monday, on Via Venado and Via Contento. Deputies arrested a 30-year-old man, who is being held without bail at the Central Mens Jail.
Disturbance 8:17 p.m. Sunday, on Berlamo. A man said he was in an argument with a woman who owned a chihuahua that had bitten his wife.
Traffic Hazard 8:10 p.m. Sunday, on Plano Trabuco Road and Dove Canyon Drive. A caller said that a traffic signal was blinking red and green at the wrong times, and that vehicles on all sides of the signal were getting the same light. When deputies arrived, they determined that the lights were flashing red in all directions and contacted a signal maintenance representative.
Disturbance 6:04 p.m. Sunday, on Coyote Court and Dusty Trail. A caller said another man, who was driving recklessly through the neighborhood, had been blocked by two neighbors. The three men were beginning to argue.
Reckless Driving 5:23 p.m. Sunday, on El Toro Road and Glenn Ranch Road. A caller said two people were riding dirt bikes on Edison trail, where the use of motorized vehicles is prohibited. Deputies detained and released two individuals.
Disturbance—Mechanical 3:46 p.m. Sunday, 30000 block of Coto de Caza Drive. A guard at the Coto de Caza gate said a woman would not move her white Mercedes SUV after not being allowed to pass through the gates.
Traffic Accident 9:46 a.m. Sunday, on Antonio Parkway and Breezy Meadows. A caller saw a Toyota Yaris hit a bicycle.
Suspicious Person in Vehicle 9:46 a.m. Sunday, on Avenida de las Flores and Via Petalos. Deputies arrested a 22-year-old man who had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. He is being held on $25,000 bail at the Central Mens Jail.
Disturbance 9:04 a.m. Sunday, 30000 block of Coto de Caza Drive. A guard at the Coto de Caza gate said a woman would not move her white Mercedes SUV after not being allowed to pass through the gates.
Disturbance 3:50 a.m. Sunday, 21100 block of Stonecreek Drive. A man said his brother and his friends refused to leave his house after they’d been drinking there all night.
Vandalism Report 2:39 a.m. Sunday, on Spring View Way. A woman said someone had spread an unfamiliar substance all over her vehicle and her front door.
Suspicious Person/Circumstances 2:09 a.m. Saturday, on Harvard Court. A woman heard a loud pop and saw a flash outside her bedroom window.
Disturbance—Music or Party 11:56 p.m. Saturday, on Via Barcelona. A caller complained about a loud party, which ended up being a group of women playing a noisy game of Taboo.
Drunken Driving 4:29 p.m. Saturday, on Santa Margarita Parkway and Avenida Empresa. A caller wanted deputies to look for a woman who was smoking marijuana out of a pipe while she drove her white Honda on Avenida Empresa.
Traffic Accident 2:26 a.m. Saturday, 100 block of Via Barcelona. A caller saw a vehicle slam into a pole on Coto de Caza Drive.
Traffic Stop 10:24 p.m. Friday, 30600 block of Santa Margarita Parkway. Deputies arrested a 21-year-old man, who was cited and released from the Intake Release Center.
Disturbance 6:58 p.m. Friday, 22500 block of Avenida Empresa. A woman said she had been in a physical argument with her husband a few hours prior to calling the Orange County Sheriff’s Department. The woman said her husband left after the argument, possibly going towards his home in Dana Point. Deputies caught up to and arrested the 49-year-old man, who was released after posting bond from the Intake Release Center.
Burglary in Progress 5:31 p.m. Friday, 30600 block of Santa Margarita Parkway. A loss prevention agent at Target said he had detained a man, who had often been seen shoplifting at the store with his mother. Deputies detained the mother outside the store, and arrested the 42-year-old woman, who was released after posting bond from the Intake Release Center.
Disturbance 5:02 p.m. Friday, on Cantamar and Vista del Verde. A woman, driving a gold Honda minivan, said she had been a victim of "drive-by fruiting" when her car was hit by a lime thrown by a youth.
Welfare Check 4:54 p.m. Friday, on Antonio Parkway and the 241 toll road. A caller wanted deputies to look for a 3-year-old boy, who was seen running on the sidewalk between the apartments and the toll road, clad only in a diaper. Deputies were unable to locate the toddler.
Terrorist Threats Report 4:38 p.m. Friday, 23200 block of Arroyo Vista. A man said he received threats from a Facebook friend.
Citizen Assist 7:36 a.m. Friday, on Calle de Las Sonatas. A man said his new neighbor came to his house the previous night and asked to borrow a hammer. The man thought this was strange, because there were five other houses he could have gone to first.
