Rancho Santa Margarita Boy Remembered By Family, Friends
George, 12, was an inspiration to all who met him, friends say. Now, residents of RSM are reaching out to support the family he left behind.

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA β Rancho Santa Margarita resident George Giakos passed away unexpectedly on September 2, at just 12-years-old.
George is survived by his parents, Dennis and Anne, and other family members.
"He is whole and perfect and most certainly chasing a soccer ball in Heaven now!" a family spokesperson shared over GoFundMe, established in his honor. "George was an inspiration to all who met him and it was a blessing to have him in our lives. His loss is devastating to Dennis and Anne and the family."

The GoFundMe page was established to offer comfort by easing the burden of unexpected funeral and burial expenses.
"I know we all are better people for knowing George and being witness to the unconditional and selfless love given to him by his parents," she said.

Funeral details are forthcoming, according to the GoFundMe page.
Any additional funds remaining after funeral expenses will be donated to Camp Ronald McDonald For Good Times, they said.
