Rancho Santa Margarita Third Grader Wins Gold Medal For Music

The Royal Conservatory of Music awarded top marks to this local girl, a Santiago Hills Elementary School student.

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA s- Local eight-year-old Rancho Santa Margarita resident, Pearla Seif, a third grader at Santiago Hills Elementary School, was awarded a Gold Medal from The Royal Conservatory of Music [RCM]. Pearla Seif received top marks in the organization’s Preparatory B Piano examination,

The Royal Conservatory awards Gold Medals to students earning the top marks on the practical (performance) examinations of RCM Certificate Program, the RCM’s internationally acclaimed system of music study. The Conservatory awards medals in the following disciplines: accordion, brass/woodwinds, guitar, harp, organ, percussion, piano, speech arts, strings, and voice.

To be eligible for a Gold Medal, students must score at least 80% on their practical (performance) examination and must have completed the necessary music theory co-requisites for their respective level and discipline.

Pearla Seif is under the tutelage of piano teacher Desislava Grueva at WePlay Music Academy in Irvine.
