Dedicated Animal Welfare Group (DAWG) and the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center invite your participation in a virtual fundraising event and Pet Costume Contest to celebrate Howl-O-Ween!

Despite COVID-19 forcing the cancelation of this year's DAWG Walk & Adoption Extravaganza Event, the annual Pet Costume Contest is taking place and will benefit animals sheltered by the CIty's Animal Services provider, Mission Viejo Animal Services.

This exciting virtual fundraising event, hosted by Dedicated Animal Welfare Group (DAWG) and the Mission Viejo Animal Services Center, raises money to support the animals awaiting adoption at the shelter.

To participate in the contest, submit photos of your costumed cat, dog, or other pet. Submit one photo featuring one pet per entry, and the most creative, adorable Howl-O-Ween pet picture in each category will win a prize valued at $200.

Prizes will include dinner for two at a delectable local restaurant and a gift certificate from Chewy.com and Hala's Paws for your fabulous fur companion.

Photos can be submitted online through October 25 at this link. The top contestants will be live-streamed on a special Halloween Day event on the City of Mission Viejo's YouTube channel at 3:00 p.m.
