Shopping Cart Round Ups are the latest cause for a crusade in Rancho Santa Margarita.

RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, CA β Shopping carts abandoned in random places are cause for concern to the city of Rancho Santa Margarita, according to a recent Facebook post.
"Abandoned shopping carts continue to be a nuisance," the city stated. Shopping carts that are removed from businesses and left at odd locations throughout the city create safety hazards and "cause blight" according to the posting. Shopping carts that are left in the public right-of-way can interfere with both pedestrian and vehicular traffic within Rancho Santa Margarita.
"You can help reduce these hazards by reporting abandoned shopping carts," they said.
