St. John's Celebrates Star-Spangled Music Day

St. John's celebrates the bicentennial of our National Anthem

St. John’s students, parents, faculty, and staff celebrated the bicentennial of the Star-Spangled Banner along with schools across the country at a special all school assembly. History teacher Mr. Owen Beitner kicked-off the assembly with an informative presentation about the War of 1812 and the birth of the National Anthem. Following the presentation, the Middle Division Choir sang the Star-Spangled Banner beautifully under the direction of Mrs. Madyson Boyd.

The Star-Spangled Banner and our National Anthem have become symbols of pride and patriotism, and it was an honor to celebrate this important date in our nation’s history.
