Surf City All-Stars Wash Over Rancho Santa Margarita
The band's summer sounds include Beach Boy Matt Jardine in the finale of RSM's summer concert series.
The city's successful Summer Concert Series came to a close on Sunday, as the Surf City All Stars took center stage in Central Park. At least 2,000 people enjoyed the show, which brought the sounds of surfing and summer at the beach to a picturesque night in Rancho Santa Margarita.
The All Stars leaned heavily on the iconic tunes of the Beach Boys throughout the performance—perhaps because one of the legendary groups' members, Matt Jardine, is part of the band. Jardine toured with the Beach Boys from 1990-98 and is son of co-founder Al Jardine.
Crowd members, young and old alike, didn't resist the urge to dance front of the stage.

Community charities and vendors were also on location for the concert, which began about 6 p.m.
The summer series began with Mark Wood and the Parrot Head Band, a Jimmy Buffett tribute band, and then went on to include 1980s rock cover band Neon Nation, and the soulful stylings of the Kelly Fitzgerald Band.
