Sports Shorts: Tickets on Sale for Friday's 'Rumble at the Ranch, Part 2' Football Game
If you're planning on attending the nonleague neighborhood battle between Santa Margarita and Tesoro at Saddleback College on Friday, you'd better get your tickets in advance at one of the schools. Tesoro picks up lineman.

Presale tickets to the nonleague football game between neighboring rivals Tesoro and Santa Margarita Catholic high schools, dubbed "Rumble at the Ranch, Part 2," on Friday at will go on sale beginning Tuesday at and Wednesday at .
Tickets will be sold (cash only) to Tesoro students only during lunch on Wednesday and Thursday in the school's ASB Store, according to the school's "Rumble at the Ranch 2" Facebook page. The general public may purchase tickets (cash or credit cards) at the ASB Store on both days from 3:30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
Prices are $8 for adults, $5 for students and children under 4 are free.

Tesoro students must purchase tickets, even if they have an ASB card, because it's Santa Margarita's home game.
Tickets went on sale Tuesday at Santa Margarita and will continue to be sold through Friday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the third floor of the Eagle Athletic Center.

Santa Margarita students with ID will be admitted to the game for free, but they must still pick up tickets.
According to Amanda Coronado, Santa Margarita's assistant director of advancement/communications, tickets are priced at $8 for adults and $1 for children under age 13. She added that the school expects to sell out its allotment of tickets and that none are likely to be available at the game.
Gates open at 6 p.m. on Friday at Saddleback College and the game starts at 7.
Last year, Tesoro won the first "Rumble at the Ranch," 32-21.
Both teams began 2011 ranked in the Register's preseason top 10, where Santa Margarita was No. 3 and the Titans were No. 4.
After Week 0 competition, when the Eagles won their season-opener on Friday, 56-0, over visiting Long Beach Jordan, and Tesoro won its first game, 35-21, over Hart of Newhall at College of the Canyons in Santa Clarita, Santa Margarita remained at No. 3 but the Titans fell to No. 5 behind Orange Lutheran, which moved up from No. 8 after its 42-7 victory over two-time defending Utah state champion Bingham on Saturday during the Mission Viejo High School Football Classic.

Edison Lineman Transfers to Tesoro
Trenton Aschoff, a 6-foot-3, 205-pound junior defensive lineman has transferred from Edison to Tesoro, Titans football coach Brian Barnes told the Orange County Register on Tuesday.
Though he didn't start, Aschoff saw plenty of action at defensive end in the Chargers' 48-10 victory over Baldwin in their season opener in Maui on Aug. 26.
Barnes told the newspaper that he wasn't sure if Aschoff would be eligible to play Friday when Tesoro takes on Santa Margarita at Saddleback College.
