Key to Awesomeness: Louisa Suyanto was in the second grade when she first began dancing with OC Allstars, and seven years later, she’s a shining star on both junior and senior teams. This past weekend, she performed two jazz routines and two pom routines at the National All-Star Competition for Dance at the Anaheim Convention Center, and her team took home several first-place trophies for its great choreography and showmanship. The team, led by owner and dance team director Heather Neville, will go on to Florida in April, where they will compete against other teams from around the world at the U.S. All Star Federation’s Dance World.
Louisa also won best performer at the U.S. Spiritleaders Competition on January 21 out of all the performers. “My favorite aspect of dance is performing on stage and being with all my friends,” Louisa said.

An eighth-grader at Serra Catholic, Louisa’s favorite subject is math. She has also taken tennis, piano and art lessons and volunteers with a group called Assisteens, a group that raises money to fund ongoing philanthropic projects to benefit the community. She would like to dance in music videos or movies someday.
For her excellent performance in dance, Louisa Suyanto is this week's Whiz Kid.
