• Kern County supervisors to consider extending local emergency proclamation for September 2025 flooding (kget.com) — Randsburg remains under a local emergency as Kern County supervisors consider extending last year's flood proclamation, citing ongoing damage in the Randsburg and Johannesburg areas and to the Rand Communities Water District. The extension would affirm that conditions still threaten public safety while the county pursues state disaster assistance. Supervisors will take up the issue Tuesday morning in Bakersfield.
