ELECTIONS UPDATE: Miller Defeats Dutton in 31st Congressional District
Two Republicans were vying to represent the new 31st District, which includes Redlands and Loma Linda.
Update 11:47 a.m. With 100 percent of precincts reporting Wednesday, incumbent Rep. Gary Miller has defeated challenger Bob Dutton in the 31st Congressional District that includes Redlands and Loma Linda.
Miller, R-Diamond Bar, finished with 68,892 votes or 55.19 percent, and state Sen. Dutton, R-Rancho Cucamonga, finished with 55,940 votes or 44.81 percent, according to unofficial San Bernardino County registrar's results.
Posted 1:17 a.m. Incumbent Rep. Gary Miller was leading challenger Bob Dutton early Wednesday in a contest for the 31st Congressional District that pitted two Republicans against each another.

Miller, R-Diamond Bar, and state Sen. Dutton, R-Rancho Cucamonga, were running to represent the redrawn 31st District that includes Redlands and Loma Linda.
With 45.6 percent of precincts reporting, Miller led with 47,910 votes, 55.8 percent, and Dutton had 37,989 votes, 44.2 percent, according to unofficial San Bernardino County and Secretary of State results.

Miller currently represents the 42nd Congressional District.
