Brian Levin, director of CSUSB’s Center for the Study of Hate and Extremism, was interviewed for a segment about International Holocaust Remembrance Day that featured Holocaust survivor Joseph Alexander.
Rabbi Abraham Cooper from the Simon Wiesenthal Center discussed whether the Holocaust could happen again. He referenced the world where people at anti-vaccination rallies compare vaccine mandates to the horrors Jews faced during the Holocaust, a comparison Levin describes as an utter societal failure.
“It is incredible to me — and a moral, civic and educational failure — that people in our society today are brazen in comparing vaccination regulation, which, however, you want to roll on, is nonetheless a life-saving, scientific advancement in world history compared to one of the greatest mechanized and intentional mass murders,” said Levin.
