The girls water polo team advances to the quarterfinals of the CIF-Southern Section playoffs with a 15-8 victory.
The Citrus Valley girls water polo team jumped out to a 7-1 first quarter lead, and shifted into cruise control to beat Orange High School in a CIF-Southern Section Division 7 first round game Thursday.
The Blackhawks advance to Saturday's quarterfinal round at home against fourth-seeded Garden Grove, which beat La Puente 23-4 Thursday evening.
Saturday's game will begin at 11 a.m. at Citrus Valley.

Redlands East Valley won its opening round game Wednesday, and will play a quarterfinal game at 1 p.m. Saturday at Burroughs High School.
