Loma Linda Little League Teams set for Tournaments

District 21 officials released schedules for its all-star tournaments, which will feature three teams from Loma Linda Little League.

The league will field teams in the 9- and 10-year-old baseball tournament, the 11- and 12-year-old baseball tournament (the Little League division, which plays its championships in Williamsport, Penn.) and the 11- and 12-year-old girls softball tournament.

The host team will open play Monday night at 8 p.m.

In the Little League division, the tournament will begin July 5, hosted by Ken Hubbs Little League in Colton. Loma Linda will open the tournament that night at 8 p.m. against Bloomington Little League.

The league's softball team opens tournament play Tuesday night in a four-team bracket. The tournament is also hosted by Ken Hubbs Little League, and will be played at Veterans Park. Loma Linda will play Ken Hubbs at 8 p.m. Tuesday.

Loma Linda announced its teams earlier this month.

The 9- and 10-year-old team's players are: James Boyd, Ken Cautivar, Tyler Gianni, Tanner Lazar, Logan Neal, Micah Payne, Camden Possinger, Elias Ramirez, AJ Schumann, Malachi Sitowski and Jacob Wear. The manager is Paul Gianni and coach is Randy Possinger.

The Little League division team's players are: Joseph Aguirre, Alec Boyd, Peter-Michael Brooks, Zack Evangelista, Adam Hale, Josh Hinojosa, Albert Liu, Nathanyel Rangel, Nathan Rodriguez, Michael Rouse and Diego Soto. The manager is Ulysses Rodriguez and he is assisted by coaches Tom Perkins and Danny Lopez.

The girls' softball team's players are: Jackie Agustines, Brittany Gonzales, Ameera Hawkins, Gabby Hernandez, Angelique Luva, Allison Madsen, Chelsea Reeder, Kayja Sitowski, Audrey Turner and Robyn Wright. The manager is Allan Reeder and he is assisted by James Agustines.
