• Redlands Adds More Attractions To Annual 'Plane-Or-Treat' Halloween Event (patch.com) — Families in Redlands can look forward to the Plane-or-Treat Halloween celebration at Redlands Municipal Airport, featuring trick-or-treating, airplane displays, and several new attractions like an inflatable maze and petting zoo. The Oct. 25 event runs from 2 to 5 p.m., costs $5 per person, and includes an EV Spooktacular Showcase, food vendors, and special parking arrangements from Redlands Sports Park.
   

• Maintaining San Gorgonio Wilderness trails will be topic for Redlands Horticultural and Improvement Society (redlandsdailyfacts.com) — Redlands residents are invited to a free talk on maintaining San Gorgonio Wilderness trails, hosted by the Redlands Horticultural and Improvement Society at Redlands Church of the Nazarene on Thursday, Oct. 15. The San Gorgonio Wilderness Association will explain how its volunteers maintain trails, assist visitors, and protect the forest, offering a close-to-home way to learn about and support local wilderness stewardship.
   

• Yucaipa teacher picked as a 2027 California Teacher of the Year (sbsun.com) — A teacher from the Colton Redlands Yucaipa Regional Occupational Program, which serves students in and around Redlands, has been named one of five 2027 California Teachers of the Year. Health careers instructor Ashley Uraine, based at Yucaipa High School, was honored for preparing hundreds of students for medical assistant certification and mentoring new teachers, with a statewide recognition ceremony planned in Sacramento.
