The Wildcats' undefeated season comes to an end in the CIF-Southern Section quarterfinals.
For the first time in a while, Rancho Cucamonga won with its defense.
The high-scoring Cougars were held to only nine points by Redlands East Valley's equally stingy defense on Friday night, but it was enough to beat the Wildcats 9-6 in a CIF-Southern Section Inland Division quarterfinal game at Citrus Valley High School.
