Sport Chalet Tops Readers' Choice Poll

At the far end of the Citrus Plaza shopping center, away from the hustle and bustle of Target and the food court, sits the store local Patch readers chose as the top sporting goods store in the region.

Sport Chalet, which caters to everyone from the serious athlete to the weekend warrior and everyone in between, topped our weekly Readers' Choice poll, garnering half of the four votes cast in the week-long poll.

The store has items for just about every sport. A well-stocked area full of baseball/softball supplies, the latest in fitness machines and even an area set aside for cyclists to add the latest gear.

The other national chain stores with area locations -- Big 5 and Sports Authority -- split the other two votes.
