5K Runners Expected for 4th of July 5K in Redondo Beach

From a press release:

Five thousand will run 5,000 meters  for the largest field in the history of the event at the 21st edition of the Village Runner 4th of July 5K presented by UCLA Health. 

The race runs along the Redondo Beach Esplanade with a scenic view of the Redondo Beach Harbor and beach!

Honorees:  Coach Bob Larsen, “Meb’s Coach/former UCLA coach, will be presented the ‘Pathfinder Award’ by 4-time Olympian and former LB Poly star, Martha Watson

Attendees/Speakers -Redondo Beach Mayor Steve Aspel, Councilman Jeff Ginsburg

Prizes: Cash prizes for top 3 male & female finishers, award in all age categories, special medals for kids, and for team competition.
