• 14th annual BRA Run to raise awareness about breast cancer, reconstruction (dailybreeze.com) — A Redondo Beach woman's struggle to afford breast reconstruction is one reason Torrance Memorial's 14th annual BRA Run is raising money for patients facing steep surgery costs. The Playa del Rey event on Sunday, Aug. 30, will feature runs, a bike ride, costumes, and family activities while supporting grants that help women rebuild after breast cancer.
