Authorities Identify Man's Body Found In Torrance

The body was found between two railroad cargo cars in Torrance Tuesday morning.

REDONDO BEACH, CA – Authorities identified a man Wednesday whose body was found between two railroad cargo cars in Torrance. Connor Elstner, 37, was found dead about 10:10 a.m. Tuesday near Del Amo Boulevard and Maple Avenue, according to the coroner's office and Torrance police.

His home town was not known, and an autopsy was pending to determine the cause of his death.

His shirtless body was found atop the couplings between two rail cars, Sgt. Ronald Harris said.

Police with the BNSF Railway were also involved in the investigation, Harris said.
