South Bay Parkland Conservancy, for the 2026 iNat Together Celebration, will be hosting a Bioblitz at Hopkins Wilderness Park. What is a Bioblitz? A Bioblitz is a guided nature walk, with the instruction on how to identify and document as many species as possible to post to iNaturalist.<a href="https://www.addevent.com/event/gm4c3rhc4mwh" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">SIGN&nbsp;UP&nbsp;HERE</a> Participants will: Walk the park in groups with a trained guide Install the &nbsp;iNaturalist ap on their device and learn how to utilize this community science platform Learn techniques for making &nbsp;scientific observations Learn fun facts about our local ecosystem Contribute to documenting the biodiversity of Hopkins Wilderness Park Be exposed to resources to foster nature exploration and engagement What to bring? Experience an intimate evening of Spanish guitar in Palos Verdes Estates with Latin Grammy-winning guitarist and composer Diego García “Twanguero,” performing at The Neighborhood Church overlooking the Pacific.
Internationally known as Twanguero, Diego García brings his acclaimed Backroads of the Americas solo concert to Palos Verdes Estates, where music and landscape come together for his first performance in the community.
Rooted in Spanish folk and shaped by years of travel, his music unfolds like a living map, moving between subtle Latin American rhythms, American roots and reflective, cinematic melodies. Performed solo, each piece feels lived-in, carrying traces of landscapes, cultures and moments gathered along the way.
The program draws from The Brooklyn Session, Argentina Songbook, Carreteras Secundarias Vol. 1 &amp; 2 and Panamerica, alongside original and unreleased material.
A Latin Grammy-winning Spanish guitarist and composer, Twanguero has performed internationally and developed a distinctive fingerstyle approach that blends Spanish folk, Latin American rhythms and American roots music into a sound entirely his own.
