Car Veers Off Road, Kills Woman In Redondo Beach

Paramedics rushed the woman to a Torrance hospital where she died from her injuries, according to a Redondo Beach police official.

REDONDO BEACH, CA – A car hit a curb and a concrete pylon pole, landing on its side in the parking lot of a nearby business, killing a woman in the process on Saturday in Redondo Beach.

The incident happened at 2:11 a.m. on Aviation Boulevard at Huntington Lane, Redondo Beach Police Sgt. M. Valdivia said. Paramedics rushed the woman to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center in Torrance, where she died from her injuries, according to Redondo Beach Police Lt. Todd Heywood.

A man and a woman were also taken to Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and their conditions were not immediately known, Heywood said. Redondo Beach police traffic investigators asked anyone who saw the crash to call them at (310) 379-2477, ext. 2721.
