Recently opened in Riviera Village, parents can now turn to Dr. Shari Carroll Pediatric Dentistry for comprehensive dental care.
After graduating from dental school, receiving both her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) and Masters in Public Health (MA), she worked alongside her dad for eight years at their dental practice in Phoenix before moving to the South Bay in 2016.
Dr. Shari is also a professor at the USC pediatric dental residency at Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles and has modeled her office to emulate the facility at CHLA where they are conducting a research study with the occupational therapy doctorate program.
She has worked for almost 10 years exclusively treating infants, young children, and children with special needs, both in the office and in hospital settings, and splits her time between CHLA and her practice in Redondo Beach.
Dr. Shari’s new offices were designed strictly for the younger set! The sun-filled, reception area offers numerous, kid-friendly diversions, including a bubble machine, LED peg wall, toys and stuffed animals.

Dr. Shari performs an array of treatments including, oral diagnosis; dental exams; cleaning; fluoride varnish and SDF treatments; laser dentistry (for infants and children); digital x-rays (they follow ALARA guidelines); BPA free, biocompatible tooth colored fillings; crowns; behavior guidance; desensitization of dental anxiety for children with special needs; and hospital anesthesia.
Dr. Shari also treats lip and tongue ties effectively with laser technology requiring specialized knowledge and training. Parents can rest assured knowing that Dr. Shari has significant training and experience performing these procedures and is a member of the International Lactation Consultant Association, International Association for Tongue Tie Professionals and the Academy of Breastfeeding Medicine.

About Dr. Shari Carroll Dr. Shari Carroll is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. A graduate of the University of Arizona, she earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry (DMD) and Masters in Public Health (MA), and completed a 2-year post-doctoral specialty education program in pediatric dentistry at Temple University Hospital. The American Board of Pediatric Dentistry has certified Dr. Carroll as a specialist in pediatric dentistry.
