REDONDO BEACH, CA - A woman who speaks only Cantonese whose identity wasn't known when she was found wandering in Redondo Beach was to be reunited with her family Friday, police said.
The woman was found about 6:50 a.m. Thursday near 408 Miramar Drive, just east of Pacific Coast Highway, police said.
She had trouble communicating where her home was to an interpreter, and might have had memory issues, Redondo Beach Police Department Sgt. Edward Jackson told the Daily Breeze. Officers took the woman to local landmarks and neighborhoods to see if any of them spurred her memory, Jackson said.
