Kids Art Class - Unconventional Materials, Age 4 - 10 *Parents Nite Out

Unconventional Materials Saturday, March 24 1pm-4pm Age 10-18 & 5pm-8pm Age 4-10 (Parent's Night Out!).
Through the creativity of a child’s mind inspirations have come from the trash of others.  We can all remember a child liking a box more than the gift itself, fashioning a weapon or other tool out of a stick or the card board roll from paper towels.  Unconventional materials – broken items, boxes, leftover yarn, organic materials like rocks or twigs, trash some might call it, lend themselves to this creativity.  Our instructors will guide the young artists to expand on this concept to come up with a variety of possibilities – some useful items like planters, wind chimes, boxes, or maybe strictly an artistic creation.  Join us for one of our workshops, 3 hours in length to give time to develop a true creation, and also give parents a little free time.We provide snacks and drinks, and for the younger audience storytelling and other activities.  Saturday March 24th 1-4pm ages 10-18, and 5-8pm ages 4-10.  This workshop will be offered again in April with a reverse schedule on Sunday April 29th, 1-4pm ages 4-10 and 5-8pm ages 10-18.
