RU 5 – Mission Viejo 19

Although we don’t put a lot of stock into moral victories, or Hawks played with one of the most respected programs in California last night, and played hard. It was a one-score game until late in to the fourth quarter, and a few extra bounces our way could have changed the outcome.

Our pre-season ended last night as we head into our bye week. It was definitely one of the toughest pre-season schedules RU has had. However, the plan has always been to prepare ourselves to go after a Bay League title, and we felt playing the toughest teams we could was going to be the best ways to do that. We are nothing if not resilient and optimistic. Our weaknesses and strengths are very clear to us.

This bye week is a perfect chance to get back to basics, and direct all our energy at improving the aspects of our game we’ll need to succeed in the Bay League. “BROTHERS” is not just something that is said or put on a T-shirt, it’s believed, and lived out every day. The Sea Hawk BROTHERS have a new season to get after. Thank you to all who support our efforts!
