House Fire Displaces Family Of Three In Redondo Beach
The two-alarm fire severely damaged the home Friday morning.

REDONDO BEACH, CA – A two-alarm fire severely damaged a home and and left a local family of three displaced Friday morning in Redondo Beach.
Firefighters responded to a report of smoke just after 8 a.m. in the 1600 block of Harper Avenue, Redondo Beach Fire Chief Robert Rappaport told the Daily Breeze.
Neighbors told the newspaper they heard two explosions.

The Manhattan Beach, Torrance and Los Angeles County fire departments also responded and crews put out the blaze in about a half hour.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but it may have started at the rear of a residence and worked its way inside, Rappaport told The Breeze.

He estimated the monetary damage at about $250,000 to $150,000 to the structure and $100,000 to its contents.
Rappaport told The Breeze the Redondo Beach Firefighters Association's community relief fund would cover a several-day hotel stay for the displaced family.
