Hurricane Harvey Supply Drive At Redondo Beach Police Station
Redondo Beach Police Department is asking for Hurricane Harvey donations this Saturday. They will go towards the #LATruck4Houston Project.

REDONDO BEACH, CA – Redondo Beach Police Department is asking for Hurricane Harvey donations to go towards the #LATruck4Houston Project. The supply drive will take place on Saturday, September 2, 2017 from 8:00am to 12:00pm at the Redondo Beach Police Department Annex Building Parking Lot, located at 200 N. Pacific Coast Highway, Redondo Beach, CA 90277.
The Redondo Beach Police Department will help host the supply drive in Los Angeles and Federal Agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives on the ground in Houston will help coordinate the supply truck’s arrival on site in the disaster impact zone to ensure supplies reach the appropriate shelters,victims and first responders in need, according to the press release.
“Many people across LA are looking for ways to help and are making online donations to the American Red
Cross or various Relief Funds. We want to bring the community together and give them an opportunity to help in a different way, so we’re filling up a truck with your donations and have partnered with the right people on the ground to drive it into the greater Houston area,” #LATruck4Houston project organizer Vladillen Gonzalez, a former Marine and resident of Los Angeles said in a statement.

The community members who donate to the #LATruck4Houston project will be able to track the supplies via social media as they make their way to the Houston area and into the hands of victims.
“It’s a way for us to bring people together, to create a sense of community for those looking for a meaningful
way to help, and offer a more tangible way to connect with those in need,” said project organizer Florence
Chung, CEO of The Hetty Group. “Friends are planning on bringing their children to the event with
personalized note cards and supplies as a way to show support for Texas as a family.”

- New socks, packaged (all sizes)
- Bottled water
- Power bars / Granola bars
- Boxed crackers
- Cereal
- Canned Fruit
- Canned Soup
- Peanut Butter (plastic jars)
- Bar Soap
- Disinfectant wipes
- Baby wipes
- Toothbrushes / Toothpaste
- Plastic forks, spoons, knives, paper plates, paper bowls
- Can Openers
- Shampoo and Conditioner (travel size)
- Rubber gloves
- Toilet paper
- Paper towels
- Sheets (new)
- Micro USB cables and Apple lightning cables
- Diapers
- Feminine Hygiene Products
- Large, clear plastic bins or crates with lids (for transportation)
- Dog food/Cat food/Pet treats
