LA Flood Watch: Where To Find Sandbags In Redondo Beach
As the latest atmospheric river moves in on SoCal, officials warned Redondo Beach residents about the likely event of heavy flooding.
REDONDO BEACH, CA — As the latest atmospheric river moves in on Southern California, officials warned Redondo Beach residents about the likely event of heavy flooding.
City officials said those living in low-lying areas should prepare accordingly due to the area being prone to flooding. Redondo Beach residents were encouraged to prepare sandbags.
"A powerful storm will bring widespread moderate to heavy rain to the region through early Wednesday, possibly resulting in flooding and gusty winds at times," the National Weather Service said.

Sandbags are available to Redondo Beach residents at the following locations:
- The City Yard (545 N. Gertruda Ave.)
- Fire Station 2 (2400 Grant Ave.)
Residents are required to bring their IDs and can pick up a maximum of 10 bags. Those collecting sand were also urged to bring their own shovel or tools. Collecting sand from the beach is illegal.

Assistance is available at the Lifeguard Station for residents who need help filling their sandbags.
