Motorcyclist Suffers Major Injuries In South Bay Crash
The 27-year-old man was taken to a hospital, police said.

REDONDO BEACH, CA – A motorcyclist suffered major injuries Tuesday in a crash with a car in Torrance.
The crash was reported just after 2 p.m. in the area of Crenshaw Boulevard and Skypark Drive, according to Sgt. Ronald Harris of the Torrance Police Department.
The rider, a 27-year-old Lawndale man, was taken to a hospital, Harris said.

"The preliminary investigation reveals the driver of a dark gray 2002 Toyota Camry was traveling northbound on Crenshaw Boulevard before making a left turn," Harris said. "The Toyota Camry ultimately collided with a motorcycle that was traveling the opposite direction, southbound near the 24800 block of Crenshaw Boulevard."
The Toyota driver, an 82-year-old woman from Rancho Palos Verdes, was uninjured, according to Harris, who said neither drugs nor alcohol were suspected as factors in the collision.

Crenshaw Boulevard was closed to traffic between Skypark Drive and Airport Drive until about 5 p.m., police said.
