Motorist Killed When He Crashes Into Tree In South Bay
Police were dispatched to the crash at 2:13 a.m. and paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene.

TORRANCE, CA -- A 26-year-old motorist in Torrance was killed this morning when he crashed a black Audi into a tree. The motorist was going westbound on Pacific Coast Highway when he struck the tree located on the north side of the road west of Madison Street, according to Torrance Police Lt. Jeremiah Hart.
Police were dispatched to the crash at 2:13 a.m. and paramedics pronounced the victim dead at the scene, Hart said.
It was not immediately known if the motorist was the lone occupant inside the Audi.

Pacific Coast Highway between Madison Street and Hawthorne Boulevard was closed for approximately six hours during the investigation, he said.
The Torrance Police Department's Traffic Division asked anyone who saw the crash to call them at (310) 618-5557.
