Pedestrian Hit By Vehicle In South Bay

REDONDO BEACH, CA – A car hit a pedestrian Friday on a major Torrance street, authorities said. It happened at about 6:30 a.m. on Hawthorne Boulevard at 182nd Street, Hawthorne police Sgt. Ronald Harris said.

The pedestrian was taken to a hospital, Harris said. The patient's age, gender and condition were not available.

Hawthorne Boulevard remained closed between 180th and 182nd streets for the crash investigation, he said.
