Pedestrian Struck, Killed by Motorcyclist

A pedestrian was fatally struck by a motorcycle in Redondo Beach on Thursday, police said.

The pedestrian, whose gender and age were not immediately disclosed, was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, which occurred about 5 a.m. at Torrance Boulevard and Camino Real, the Redondo Beach Police Department reported.

The motorcyclist remained at the scene and was interviewed by police. Traffic was routed away from the area while an investigation was conducted.
