Pedestrian Suffers Major Injuries After Hit By Car In Torrance

REDONDO BEACH, CA – A pedestrian was hit by a car Monday evening in Torrance and suffered major injuries. The unidentified victim was struck about 8 p.m. in the area of Hawthorne Boulevard and 179th Street, according to Sgt. Ronald Harris of the Torrance Police Department.

Paramedics took the pedestrian to a hospital, Harris said. The victim's age and gender weren't immediately available. The crash area was blocked to the public until about 11 p.m.
