Police Investigate Fatal Redondo Beach Crash That Killed A Bicyclist
Neither alcohol nor drugs were believed to have been involved in the collision.

REDONDO BEACH, CA – Authorities are investigating Tuesday an accident in which a cyclist was fatally struck by a car in Redondo Beach, police said. The collision was reported at 9:16 p.m. Monday on Artesia Boulevard at Felton Lane, said Redondo Beach police Lt. C. Prestia. The man on the bicycle was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead, he said.
The woman driving the car remained at the scene and cooperated with officers, he said. Neither alcohol nor drugs were believed to have been involved in the collision. Artesia Boulevard was shut down between Inglewood Avenue and Phelan Lane for the investigation. The road was reopened at 1:43 a.m. Tuesday.
