Redondo Beach Nursing Home Investigated For Coronavirus Outbreak

Kensington Assisted Living in Redondo Beach is one of 11 nursing homes in the county dealing with a coronavirus outbreak.

REDONDO BEACH, CA — Officials with Los Angeles County are responding to coronavirus outbreaks at 11 separate nursing homes, including Kensington Assisted Living in Redondo Beach. Other homes of concern include Silverado Beverly Place in Los Angeles and the Alameda Care Center in Burbank.

On Friday, the county was reporting just three nursing home outbreaks, meaning the number of outbreaks in homes grew almost four times over four days. Officials consider an outbreak to be any location or facility that has three or more confirmed coronavirus cases. They are also investigating several additional nursing homes that are reporting just one or two cases of the virus.
