Search On for Gunman in South Bay Drive-By

Witnesses said the victim was walking down the street when a man drove up in a two-door car, stopped, jumped out, and fired at the victim.

CARSON, CA - A search was underway Tuesday for the gunman who killed a man in a drive-by shooting in Carson, authorities said.

The shooting occurred about 7:45 p.m. Monday in the 1600 block of East Gladwick Avenue. Aaron Pritchard, 21, of Carson died at the scene, according to the coroner's office and the sheriff's department.

Witnesses said Pritchard was walking down the street when a man drove up in a two-door car, stopped, jumped out, fired at him, got back into the vehicle and drove away, said Deputy Kelvin Moody. The motive for the shooting was unknown.
