South Bay by Jackie Weekend Guide March 15, 2018

The South Bay by Jackie Weekend Guide offers comprehensive coverage of the greater South Bay area.

Last Friday I received notice the annual Whale of a Day event at Point Vicente was being postponed to April 14 due to inclement weather. Since this Weekend Guide is published on Thursday, I didn’t have the updated information and included the event which was scheduled for last weekend. That’s why I always insist you check directly with event websites before heading out. It really throws a wrench in your day when you show up for an event only to discover it’s been cancelled – especially when there are kids involved. Anyhow, there are lots of fun events scheduled over the next few days, in addition to all the St. Patrick’s Day festivities. Having St. Patrick’s Day fall on a Saturday makes for a wackier celebration than usual, so be careful out there and if you plan on enjoying a pint or two of Guinness, download the Uber or Lyft app before heading out!
