South Bay by Jackie Weekend Guide May 10, 2018

Everything you want to know that is happening in the South Bay this Weekend

I recently purchased a new printer/scanner/fax machine at Best Buy. (I haven’t figured the whole thing out yet, but it has so many bells and whistles, I placed a cup underneath it just in case it whips up an espresso.) Anyway, the other day, the thing automatically ordered a blue ink cartridge when it ran low. Seriously, I received an email from Best Buy that MY PRINTER ORDERED AN INK CARTRIDGE. While all this is extraordinarily convenient - especially when the package was delivered just as the printer announced it needed a new cartridge - the whole episode gave me the willies. I already bought and shipped a Mother’s Day card and gift, but who knows? It could be ordering flowers or making brunch reservations as I write this. My point is, don’t wait for the ghost in the machine to make arrangements for the most significant woman in your life. There are all sorts of fabulous brunches and mom-centric events happening throughout the South Bay this weekend, so if you haven’t made plans yet, you should get on that now. However you decide to celebrate MOM – whether it be breakfast in bed, a gorgeous flower arrangement, spa day, brunch, perfume or exquisite chocolates – she will appreciate the thought and effort YOU put into it!
