The community is invited to an Open House hosted by the developers of the Strand & Pier project today, January 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. Attendees will learn about the proposed hotel and retail project and it’s a great opportunity to have your questions answered and take part in the ongoing discussion. Art Flying Aerial is celebrating its One Year Anniversary all day Saturday, January 15! The ninth annual Southern California Slack Key Festival returns to the Redondo Beach Performing Arts Center on Sunday, January 17, for one performance only at 2 p.m. The Southern California Slack Key Festival honors one of the world’s great acoustic guitar traditions, “slack key” (ki hoʼalu) and features the most respected names in Hawaiian guitar music today in the most prestigious Hawaiian music concert event in the mainland U.S. The 2015 festival features artists Cyril Pahinui, Jeff Peterson, Jim “Kimo” West, Nathan Nahinu, Jeff Au Hoy, Peter Moon and more. Attention local foodies! Restaurant Week is back and it’s time to DineLA! DineLA Restaurant Week is a bi-annual dining event established to introduce diners to the extensive assortment of restaurants in neighborhoods throughout Los Angeles County. DineLA Winter Restaurant Week takes place over 14 consecutive days and runs from January 18 through January 31.
