Start Your Weekend Early at Ortega 120

Get into the proper spirit with a Thursday tequila flight at the Mexican eatery.

If Tuesdays mean Tacos in Redondo Beach, maybe Thursdays mean Tequila.

Thursday is the unofficial start to the weekend, and if you're anything like me, right around Wednesday evening you start thinking of things that will pull you towards Saturday swiftly and painlessly.

This is where the tequila comes in. Every Thursday Ortega 120 on PCH offers flights of the Mexican spirit, a tradition that began back in the summer with the celebration of National Tequila Day on July 24th.

It's a festive tasting, and there is nowhere more suited to host it than the restaurant that takes its name from the 120 different kinds of tequila they've got stocked behind the bar. For between $10 and $20, you can sample three hard-to-find, top-shelf tequilas. If you're hungry, Tres Sopes—or one of their other amazing modern Mexican appetizers—will help you put down your tres tequilas.

Hasta luego, Redondo!
